Sujoy Ghosh is the Chief Executive Officer, Sun Life Private Wealth. He leads Sun Life Private Wealth’s global business, with operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bermuda and Dubai, deepening partnerships and enhancing capabilities to strengthen Sun Life’s position as an established market leader in HNW insurance.

Sujoy brings 27 years’ experience in leadership roles spanning insurance and banking across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He joins Sun Life from Citi, where he was most recently Head of Global Insurance & Asia Head, Business Development - Citi Wealth, responsible for the bank’s global insurance operations and business development in Asia. Prior to joining Citi, Sujoy has held several functional and P&L regional and country roles across partnerships, strategy, distribution and has lived and worked in six markets across Asia and Europe. 

As Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Private Wealth Singapore, Alvin leads the Singapore business with responsibility for its growth, performance and long-term development. He focuses on deepening relationships with distribution partners and strengthening connectivity across Product, Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Compliance and Risk to deliver strong and consistent experience for distribution partners and Clients.

Alvin has more than 16 years of leadership experience across Southeast Asia. He joins from FWD Singapore, where he was Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer, responsible for distribution, product and marketing for its life and general insurance businesses. Alvin is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.

Ashish Chand is the Chief Transformation Officer for Sun Life Private Wealth with responsibility for Operations, Technology, and Transformation across the global business.

He leads global teams delivering scalable, well‑governed Private Wealth insurance operations and technology platforms, with a focus on disciplined execution and continuous improvement.

With nearly three decades of experience in insurance and financial services, Ashish has held senior leadership roles across technology, operations, and transformation. He brings deep expertise in modernizing core insurance workflows, strengthening governance, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making in regulated environments. His work focuses on simplifying complexity and thoughtfully applying automation and AI to augment expert judgment.

Benjamin Root is the Chief Financial Officer, Sun Life Private Wealth. He is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial operations, capital management, asset liability management, and strategic financial planning for Sun Life Private Wealth globally.
 
Benjamin has a strong background in finance, actuarial science, and risk management. Before his current appointment, he held various finance and actuarial leadership roles within Sun Life, including serving as the Chief Actuary and then the Chief Financial Officer at Sun Life Singapore where he led the Finance, Actuarial, ALM, and Product & Pricing functions. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), and a Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society. He holds a degree from the University of Connecticut.

David Varley is the Chief Partnership Officer, Sun Life Private Wealth. He is responsible for driving growth across the HNW and Ultra-HNW segments, managing key relationships with HNW brokers, private banks and family offices, and overseeing a unified Global team to ensure seamless broker and client experiences. 
 
David has nearly 10 years of experience in Sun Life’s HNW business, previously serving as Chief Partnership Officer – Brokerage and Chief High Net Worth Officer at Sun Life Hong Kong. He brings extensive expertise in wealth structuring solutions, including indexed universal life, whole of life, savings, and private placement life insurance. Prior to joining Sun Life, David held senior regional roles at AXA, where he was Head of HNW for Asia, and Aviva, where he served as Head of International Business. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Melbourne University.

Georgina Howes is CEO & Country Manager, Sun Life Private Wealth Bermuda. Georgina is responsible for driving sustainable performance of Sun Life Private Wealth’s Bermuda business and strengthening Bermuda’s role as a key wealth hub within Sun Life Private Wealth’s integrated platform.

Georgina brings more than 25 years of insurance experience, with deep expertise in life and health underwriting, operations, and High Net Worth insurance across multiple jurisdictions and complex organizations. Prior to joining Sun Life, she was Head of Bermuda at Transamerica Life (Bermuda) Ltd., where she established and scaled its High Net Worth operations, supporting sustainable underwriting growth and operational excellence.

Henry Philip is the Chief Human Resources Officer, Sun Life Private Wealth. Henry is responsible for leading the HNW HR Business Partner team to work closely with the Private Wealth leadership team to deliver engagement and culture programmes. He will also oversee HR transformation initiatives, strategic workforce planning, and executive recruitment.

Henry is a seasoned HR and talent leader with 30 years of experience in HR leadership and talent acquisition roles in Asia, North America and the UK. He brings a deep understanding of strategic HR planning, talent development, and employee relations in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Sun Life, Henry spent 17 years at Wellington Management Company, where he most recently served as Global Head of Talent Acquisition.

Liem Phan is Chief Product Officer, Sun Life Private Wealth. Liem leads the product strategy for Sun Life Private Wealth, from product design, pricing, lifecycle management to product governance and innovation. 

Liem is a senior Life & Health reinsurance executive with more than 20 years of international leadership experience across Asia and Europe. Before joining Sun Life, he led Swiss Re’s Southeast Asia and India business, delivering new business growth and establishing the region as a key growth engine. Liem joined Swiss Re in 2005 and held a range of senior leadership roles in Singapore and Switzerland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Sam Berry is Chief Underwriter, Sun Life Private Wealth. He is responsible for leading the global underwriting strategy and risk assessment for Sun Life Private Wealth, ensuring a sophisticated and seamless experience for the clients..

Sam brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the life insurance and reinsurance industry across Asia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Before joining Sun Life, he held senior leadership positions at Swiss Re, where he served as the Regional Head of L&H Underwriting for HNW across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and India.
