Certain life insurance products available through the international business based in Bermuda are offered by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (Bermuda Branch), while certain other life insurance products are offered by Sun Life Bermuda Limited, a subsidiary of Sun Life. Both Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and Sun Life Bermuda Limited are licensed and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority to carry on long-term insurance business in Bermuda. In certain communications, we may refer to our High Net Worth life insurance business unit as “Sun Life Private Wealth Bermuda” strictly as a marketing name and no legal significance is thereby expressed or implied. 

Investment products sold through the international business based in Bermuda were issued by Sun Life Financial Investments (Bermuda) Ltd. ("SLFIB"). Variable Annuity products were issued by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada through its Bermuda branch registrations.  The company no longer markets the Investment or Variable Annuity products, having previously discontinued new sales.

Sun Life Financial Investments (Bermuda) Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, is regulated and licensed to conduct Investment Business by the Bermuda Monetary Authority under Bermuda's Investment Business Act.
